How to Get to Martha’s Vineyard from Boston?

If you're coming from Boston, you have two options. You can catch a ferry from various locations, such as Woods Hole, Falmouth, or Hyannis in Massachusetts. You can hop on this on foot or even just drive your car right onto it. Check out rental car options from Boston here! Of course, you can always catch a flight to the tiny little Martha's Vineyard airport. From Boston, these are usually pretty inexpensive too!

How to Get Around Martha’s Vineyard?

Once you're on the island, you have a few options! If you’ve brought your car onto the island by ferry, easy! You can drive around the island all you want (and this is a great option). If you do want to be driving around but need a rental car, make sure to rent it prior to getting on the island. Other options are renting a bike or moped, or you can take advantage of the efficient public bus system. I suggest that EVERYONE has at least one day on bike because it is just so much fun, but when I’m on the island, I typically just opt for the bus because it is so simple. HERE is the schedule
